History of E C Loomis & Son Insurance Associates

The company was established in l905 selling agricultural oriented insurance and fire insurance. In 1957 the company was incorporated and in 1961 Charles Cabassi became an agent. In September of 1973 Gordon Bennett and Charles Cabassi purchased the insurance company from the balance of the Loomis family and formed a partnership.In November of l974 we moved to 220 Traffic Way, Arroyo Grande, Ca.,where we are still located today. In 1991 E C. Loomis and Son Insurance Associates became affiliated with United Valley Insurance Group and in April l994 Gordon Bennett retired and Karl Hartwig purchased Gordon’s portion of the business.
